Kino 52 Flyer FINAL
Kino’s famous open-mic short film night returns to our new venue the Electrowerkz in Angel on Wednesday 10th July. We’ve got more space than ever for film-watching, drinking and hanging out, plus a bar made from a recycled tube train (no joke)! If you’ve never been to Kino before come check out our open screen that’s like no other film event in London.

WANT TO SCREEN AT KINO #52?

As always, filmmakers register in advance to screen their short at each event, sight unseen. We don’t watch ANYTHING in advance, we simply ask that you book your film with us beforehand and present it yourself on the night.
There are no themes, no pre-selection and no restrictions, other than:

– films must be under 6 minutes
– films must be on DVD
– films must include the Kino logo + screening number (52) at the end, just for our screening
– the filmmaker must present the film in person.

Screening slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’d like to screen your short drop us a line ASAP at screen@kinolondon.com We’ll need your name, the title and duration of your film, along with your contact details.

WANT TO MAKE FILMS WITH US?

Alongside the open-mic shorts we initiate a new filmmaking project each month that anyone at all can take part in. This month’s team of challengees are making ‘a film showing characters from the knee down only’, which we’re very excited to see the results of at Kino #52! If you want to take part in July’s challenge session, it’s easy. Just coming along to our screening on 10th July and volunteer. We’ll co-ordinate the team there and then. After that it’s up to you!

If you’ve never made a short, are stuck for an idea, or just want to work with new people, the Kino Challenge is a great way to get those filmmaking juices flowing.

Go here for more info and to watch previous challenges.
